Remote Control

Good Morning,
My 27RKSS is equipped with a remote control for the slide, awning, etc.... It has an option for "lights" too. I havent been able to determine which lights this controls. Any ideas?

Not for sure on your unit but on our '14 Salem 27RLSS that we traded off, the remote controlled the slide, awning, stabilizer jacks and the porch light. If it is the porch light, when you use the remote to turn it on, you had to turn it off with the remote also. The switch on the wall would not turn it off if turned on with the remote. Hope this helps.

I have the same trailer. This is for the LED lights outside under awning. How do you like your trailer?

I am loving the camper so far. Our first trip of the year is in a few weeks. Mine does not have any lights under the awning besides the "porch" light next to the door. I wish I had LEDs under the awning, the only thing my camper doesn't have.

Any tips or things to watch for on the camper, since you have the same model?

I have the same 2018. Remote does the under awning strip light. Going this weekend for our maiden trip. So far the only problem is I can’t figure out the led strip light over the slide out. I am thinking it’s not getting power, might be a trip back to our dealer.

There is a light switch to the left of the entrance door as you enter that turns it off and on. If it doesn't come on I would guess that it isnt hooked up or a problem with the LED strip.

So far no issues. We bought it new last September and took it roundtrip from Indianapolis to the Outerbanks with a stop in Ashville,NC for the weekend in October last year. Were heading to Cave City,Ky in June and Mt Rushmore in July. Hopefully wont have any issues with it on these trips.

That controller is used on many models and not all buttons are active. My 27rlss has the same controller but does not control the lights. It uses replaceable batteries.

I have a late 2017 27DBK, and I found a Lippert phone app that connects to the controller and does all the stuff the remote does.
Now I don't even have to open the door for setup.

I think it was a new for 18 option from Lippert, that my late 17 picked up on.
So, probably not?
There is a unified system controller in my TT that lippert puts out. All the motors, external lights, etc. Run through that controller.

Yea I dont think it will work with mine. It says for wifi or bluetooth enabled elements. I dont believe my current remote operates on either.

Slide light

Took our trailer back to the dealer for the led light over the slide not working and after they took a quick look, they had it diagnosed. It was wired backwards. Ten minutes later all fixed and working.

My 2018 27rkss the light over the slide out is the right-hand light switch on the control panel

The remote for my 2016 Vibe will not charge. Is there a changeable battery inside? I haven't opened it up yet. Thanks in advance for the wisdom!

I don't know if it's a changeable battery, but if you open it up you can probably find one that will work. You may have to do some soldering to change it, but I haven't had ours open so I'm not sure about that.
