roof maintenance

I have a Salem 27BH, 2002 travl trailer. Can somebody help me with what type of roof I have and how to maintain it? It doesn't seem to be leaking yet and I hope to keep that from happenng.

Quick way to tell if its a rubber roof (most likely) is if you get white streaks on the sides of the trailer they are residue coming from the roof, a miniscule oxide layer of rubber. Google rubber roofs, there is more on line about them then you can ever read. Lots of very good articles actually.

Rubber roof (AKA “EPDM”) membranes are smooth and will be slippery when wet. TPO roof membranes have a texture like an orange peel.

Maintenance can include many things from wash and wax to sealing to repairs so I'll point you to our Library for your reading pleasure.

Thank you for the quick responses. I see I must have the TPO roof. I will do some more research on yearly maintenance for that.
