Salem 5th wheel jwrap replacement?

Hey guys I'm new to the form. Just recently purchased a 2008 a 316rkbs 5th wheel in perfect shape other then the j wrap on the passenger side is a little bent. Must of had a tire blow out in guessing. So my question is how does it come off. Does it snap into the strip above it? Thanks for the help.

Are you are referring to the aluminum skirt at the bottom of the trailer?
If so, yes, it slides up into the J trim. The skirt is held in place by the aluminum supports that are screwed to the floor under the trailer.

Thank you, Yes the aluminum skirt on the very bottom. I was going to go and get piece of aluminum and make it myself. But does it have a special lip on the top that slides into the j trim so it clips into it, or is it held in with adhesive/ silicone?

Not sure about that particular model, but the one I saw had a crimped edge. If you have, or have access to, an aluminum siding break you can replicate it pretty easily.

Thanks bama. I'm not sure either. That's what I kinda figured it would be. I'm just trying to figure it out before I take it apart.

On my previous Coachmen, it was just slid up into the channel. I think the top was just hemmed. You could make a panel with a brake and hem the top. You would want to use heavy gauge coil though. Here is a link to new panels.

Thanks for the link! Only issue I see is it says it's 17 inches wide mines only 11½. If it has a hemmed edge I would have to cut it off to get the right width.

You can message them to see if they can be trimmed or if they have a smaller size? Did you try the dealer or factory for OEM panels?

Ya I called them earlier , they are going to call me back tomorrow. Probably going to be pretty pricey if I can still buy it lol . I guess I'll just have to take it off to see how it really is at the top that connects to the j trim.
