My 282 outside kitchen doesn't have a cabinet. The surge protector that I added is awesome

Is there anyone else towing this with a 1/2 Ton? When I towed it home from the dealer it was a little froggy on the Interstate. When I look at the specs the tongue weight is only 10% so I figured I needed to load more weight to the front of the camper and weight to the bed of the truck. Had to readjust the dealer WDH setup and added some Super springs and now it tows fine on the highway.

Another question, does anybody have any loaded camper tongue weight numbers ? Hopefully someone has had their unit weighed. Thanks trying to get a ballpark figure.

I towed mine with an F150 for a while. Ecoboost with max tow. Just a tad too much trailer for long hauls. My tongue weight is 825.

Teamfour... thanks; good info. I was allowing 900 lbs + 100 for the hitch to my truck payload. I have the '16 F150 EB but I tend to agree I wouldn't be crazy about hauling it cross country.

I'm towing mine with a 1/2 ton and it tows just fine. My next truck will probably be a 3/4 ton mainly for the heavier rear springs, but I think I'll keep it a gasser. I haven't seen the numbers on a diesel to convince me it's worth all that extra dough.

Air conditioning ceiling vents

The 2017 282RK ceiling vents are not adjustable. What I mean by this is that I cannot close off certain ones to push more air to others. The bedroom only has one, and it gets really hot back there with not much air flow. And it appears as though the rough opening is not a standard size. They are 6" diameter. I cannot find a vent with adjustable closing louvers to fit these openings.

Anyone else having this issue?

Based on a post by Bama Rambler in another thread, I just ordered the following vents.
Venting Products / AC Vents / "Jet Stream" #8850 Fully Adjustable Large RV AC Ceiling Vent - DW Inc. Here is the original thread, post #9 Bama's Rambling Mods.

I will report back to say how they work.

Does anyone know how to locate the cable TV splitter in the ceiling? I need to reconfigure this to work with DirecTV.

Looks to me the slide out could use a little shoring up when extended. Has anyone used slide-out stabilizers? I am considering buying a pair, wondering if they work as advertised.
