Salem Hemisphere 282rks Furrion system

Hello! Any chance I could get some insight on this system? The rig is brand new and I cannot get sound through the Furrion from the tv. The AV cables are connected to the tv and look like they are connected to the Furrion. I have the AV IN selected on the Furrion. Still no sound. Any help or suggestions are appreciated [emoji4]

I just purchased this model today with minor options but was told explicitly from the salesman (he was a guy) that the TV did not play through the audio system. I found this link to the forum (Joined) as i am looking for the solution or what model Furrion entertainment system is Stock in the 282RK. What i did find on line is the Furrion site and manuals, they state that the DV3000 / DDV3100 series units have AV Audio and sub-wolfer connections in the rear so you may have to run some simple RCA cables.

Here is the link to the Manual.

Please let me know what system you have?

thanks

Rick

You may have to pull some RCA cable from the tv to the back of the Entertainments system but that should not be hard, that saying as long as the TV has RCA out.

A quick check at eh furrion site shows most of their RV Tv's have RCA out.

In ours only the DVD player outputs sound through the surround speakers. When watching satellite/cable the sound only comes out of the TV speakers.

TV / Furrion System

On mine, there is no "source in" on the furious unit for the tv sound to go to. When using the Furrion unit to watch a DVD, it plays through the speakers, but not what is playing on the TV as a source.

Check the menu for speaker on the TV. RCA outputs usually have to be turned on in a menu and there may be a selection for fixed audio or variable.

It is true the tv does not run through the DVD system. You must use an exterior patch cord.

Yes, I picked up my 2018 282RK on Saturday got her home, setup and began getting acclimated. Yes i am green to Glamping but used to backwoods motorcycle camping.

The RV dealer had both the Flagstaff and Hemisphere reps there on an open house. These two gentleman confirmed that they do not pre-wire the TV for audio output to the head unit as many upgrade to TV's that might not support this option. In my research the Furrion units do accept audio and video in and out. The video/audio out(1) is for the DVD output and is configured from the factory, thus why the moves play through the ceiling speakers.

My setup is the Furrion 3100 with the Jensen 40" TV upgrade it does have the capability of audio output so a simple RCA pair can be pulled to give TV audio to the head unit for better sound.

I am going to add a RCA/Video switch box so i can wire this input to multiple sources such as a Roku or WDTV, chrome-cast audio, Etc. I am going to pull the head unit this evening to get familiar with the wire pull i may have to use the existing DVD set as a starter pull but the fish looks like only 16" to 18" so i do not see it being a big issue. I will post some picture once i get started for those interested in better audio without breaking the bank.

last i highly recommend if you have the Furrion unit, if you do not have the manual to download it as there are many feature that this unit is capable of and they are only available through the remote. BTW if you turn the TV on the menus for the head unit will display on the TV.

As you may have guessed me and my lady are into always having music on and we like good audio they system has some nice features including the USB as you can put a lifetime of music on a 64GB flash drive. I put the blue tooth to test and streamed both Pandora and MP3 music stored on the phone. I plan three upgrades to the system, 1 Furrion offers a sub woofer (Furrion FSW8P12-CF 8" RV Active Subwoofer) that is a mate to this system, 2 i will upgrade the ceiling speakers to something with a little more range and last i have some nice JBL exterior units that will go in place of the little ones outside. For those hoping they never camp along side us we are not blasting rockers we just like to here the full range of the music not something that sound like the old crystal AM radio especially when the volume is down low.

Hope this helps

Rick

So i removed the head unit, you just pop off the lower plastic cover that surrounds the knob and buttons. 4 screws and its out with lots of spaghetti attached, this will also reveal a large hole in the paneling that will allow you to fish the RCA cable to the lower hole where the DVD output goes through.

Connect RCA to TV audio out and Audio in on back of head unit. For me I have the Jensen 40 LED TV so i had to go into the setup menu setup tab and select FIXED for audio output and the Variable option (TV remote controls volume) was insufficient until i can get a line signal booster. It works nice as with the 4 ceiling speakers you can be anywhere and here the TV without cranking it up. As i said I am more interested in connecting other devises to this input like Satellite radio etc. but i wanted to go through the process so i now know what i need for future mods.

I also purchased the Sub Woofer and it makes a nice difference to the total audio quality.

Here are few pictures of what you will find once you remove the head unit.

This is very helpful, I gave up trying to hook up a sound bar to the Jenson TV, I'll give this a try.

Thanks
