Salem lite water heater wont ignite.

Gas is turned on, button turned on, cycles through three times trying to ignite then quits. Any ideas?

On my last trailer, if I ran out of propane and ignition failed, it would quit trying and I had to reset it by removing and reinstalling the 12v fuse to the furnace. Doesn't sound like this is your problem but might be worth a try.

I'm sure you've already checked, but I'll ask anyway...stove light ok. Frig work on gas setting, does the heater turn on when you turn up the room thermostat?

If the answers to the questions in post #3 are YES, then consider that you may have a spider web in the gas orifice. They like the smell of gas and their webs interfere with the gas flow. Try blowing out the burner.

Yes, stove works, furnace works, oven works.

UPDATE: Since the rv is new and on warranty, we took it to the dealer to get fixed. They had to replace the water heater circuit board. All is working now
