salem rkss water pump

hey everybody... Just bought our 2018 salem 27-rkss. Getting ready to tackle winterizing so I have been locating everything for sake of getting to know my rig (furnace access, hot water tank etc...). For the life of my I cannot find the water pump, or an access panel for it?! Ive tried tracing the waterlines, and turning the pump on and listening to locate,,,,, no luck. Any help?
Thank you in advance!

Mine is under the kitchen sink, behind a small panel.

Check under the sink right beside the furnace. There's a panel there that's screwed to the floor. The pump is behind that.

Send a message via Skype™ to bdoppel
I removed both those panels

The one on the right is where the valves are for the hot water tank and you'll need to turn off *both* those valves. There is one you can kind of reach over the panel, but the second one is by the floor and (take if from me!) you will pump antifreeze into your water heater if you don't turn off both.

X2. If not already equipped, you might want to take this opportunity to install a CAMCO 36543 Pump Winterization kit. Easy to install and will save you time and effort for the winterization process. About $18 at WALMART.

Have you tried to turn the pump on (presuming you have water in the tank), and opening a faucet a little bit (or the outdoor shower) and listen for the pump to cycle on and off?

Oops, I see you already tried that. Sorry.

FWIW, mine is in the “basement” behind a wall.

If you can't locate it by sound, then you'll have use some dead-reckoning. The pumps in the RKSS models are very close to the proximity of the FW fill.

That's crazy. Is your fresh water tank right under there?

Yes. The water tank is right below it. The fill line and vent run through the cabinet then through the floor.

I just bought this travel trailer in September. It is a 2018. Maybe they have moved the pump in this year.
