Simple mods that made my life MUCH EASIER (1 year old trailer RKS)

Since last year, i made few upgrades to my travel trailer, simple things that FR "forgot" and that made my and my five yearold's life easier Here are the pics, enjoy.

15$ LED strip from ebay, single color

On the bottom by the furnace exit, TV- in connection, somehow FR forgot that?????????

Shower at the back of my trailer, my trailer is a RKS model, so i had hot and cold connections within one foot. took 1 hr to install.

Micro Switch and another LED strip, this one lights up the side and back of my trailer where my garden is

Speakers, made a big difference from the stock ones.... these are just cheap walmart model ones....

Drawer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shower and this are best mods ever!!!!!!!!!! What a PITA it was to access the storage under the bench, remove 2 cushions, plywood, deal with where to put them..... Now open the drawer and store stuff! I just use it for shoes. Very easy to do!!!! FR ------ LEARN!!!!!

Now this was good too. Had heater vents everywhere, except in the bathroom. So i removed a door from a cabinet, only half of the cabinet was useful anyway(where the hair brush is) the bottom has a fake panel(why?)). Cut a hole, installed an another vent and re routed the hose.
Now the bathroom is warm when i brush my teeth or take showers!

Old vent on right, new on left.

Changed most of the light fixturres from single ones, to double ones.

Replaced the stereo with a basic Sony model from walmart. I was quite surprised how much of a difference it made with the new inside speakers. The outside FR speakers sound MUCH BETTER TOO...!!!!! Stereo was 80$.
Trying to figure out what to do with the rest of the space there, and the fake panel top of it.

Wired in a 12v car outlet + installed a "tray underneath" for keys etc.... very handy, both of them. I use the 12v outlet for charging my cell, or tray to hold my cell while i stream music off the web.

Over the last weekend i also installed the Wingman, made a nice difference since the 3 channels that i was receiving were weather dependant. 3 hours later i found out i had cable at my site

I also installed a Handle at the screen door since my 5 yearold daugher was using the plastic piece that slides to open and close it and broke it(This can be actualy seen on the pic with the drawer). Handle was a 5 min job and is very sturdy. Recommended to anyone. Will post pics next weekend of other mods.

Can you get some close up pictures on the outside cable install and how did you thread the coaxial cable?

Great job on the mods

I will have to take some more pics on the weekend, my trailer is 90% seasonal. I found one more of the coax outlet, got it at Camping world for 3-4$? something like that.

Added some more LED lighting (ebay27$ shipped), tommorow will find some white wires and route them properly, changed all single lights to doubles, changed the thermostat, added some "stick-on" tiles. Running out of ideas...what next?

Great mods!

We broke the sliding glass the 2nd day out.

Also installed 12V outlets under the entertainment unit and outside near the 120V and changed all lighting to LED.

Thinking of a 12V motion light to replace the current yellow dome.

Kuba......Everything looks great. I would have mounted the new radio in the fake cabinet and put the basket in the open hole. I am OCD and would like a clean look.......... Love the shoe drawer too.

Jim (hubby) replaced white plastic lights with flush mount marine lights. We also replaced all of the 912 bulbs with LED bulbs. We aren't full time yet but I figured with a little cash coming in we can upgrade to look more like Home Sweet Home.

Leds are on the way, search for 48 5050 smd on ebay. I will be removing that stereo and putting in a 7" touch screen one there, one that does netflix(you can hook it up to tv), shows weather, has input for cameras etc - just for rainy days. Its a cool one too, i will post a link in next post.
Do you guys have a picture of these flush mount marine ones????
