Angry Slide out

Hello all,
I am new to this site, but i am having a problem. Recently we tried to use our slide and it seems 1 side is jammed. While looking at the slide, the left side tries to go out, but the right side does not move. We are currently trying to figure out how to manually open the slide. When we purchased the trailer, we were not given a owners manual. Please help!

It would help if you'd tell us which unit and model you have. There are several different configurations, and therefore several different possibilities of what's wrong.

If it's electric, it sounds like maybe one of the pinion gears has sheared a pin or broken. It also could be the line shaft between the gears has broken. Unless your unit has a sealed bottom, you should be able to see the mechanism under the RV.

It should have an electric slide and I don't think it has an enclosed underbelly.
Crawl under the slide and see if you can see the slide channels and the rack and pinion gears.

We were under there, and there is a light that is blinking 7 red 1 green and it continues. We are new to camping, and so we aren't sure what to do!

That's the Schwintek slide controller.

Here is the manual for it. Schwintek Slide Manual

And Here's a Schwintek troubleshooting manual.

Count carefully the number of blinks. That tells you what's wrong.

Please let us know what fixes it. We love to hear the conclusion for future reference.
