Smoke detector 16 286rl Hemisphere Lite

Hello all,

I just purchased a 16 Hemisphere Lite 286rl. Took it out for the first time and had some trouble with the smoke detector. We used the oven twice and each time it set the smoke detector off. There was nothing burning in the oven, not sure how to explain what happened. Anyone else experienced this?

They are very sensitive and can also detect heat as well as smoke. Ours went off frequently when cooking and got much better by cracking windows and leaving the bathroom door open with the exhaust fan on high

thanks for the reply. I appreciate the information on how to get around the issue, really looking to see if there is a better placement for the detector. We used a fan to blow the hot air from the oven out the door and that keeps the detector from sounding. I was hoping for a solution that doesn't involve fans, vents and holding my tongue just right.

Thanks for sharing your work-around!
