Stabilizer jacks not working

I have a 2015 Salem 27 RKSS. My stabilizers both front and back are not working. That being said they are both down. So right now I cant take it anywhere to be looked at. I checked for fuses at the motors, none that I can see. Found one up front near the battery, that one is going to the tongue jack and it works. No fuses blown in the panel area. Getting real frustrated. AND of course there is no manual in the packet that was given to us when we purchased it. I do have 3 more weeks on the 1 year warrenty. But I need them up now. Any help would be appreciated.

Fuse for power stabilizers are usually in the distribution panel eg: 20 amp show below PSJ....need to take fuse out to visiually check if burnt open.....don't rely on red led...

If you have LCI electric stabilizer, then you can manually raise them.

Fonzie, I'll check again. Do you think it would be tied on with something else? There is nothing labeled jacks or slides. In your picture where it is labeled PSI and HHI, mine is empty. No fuses and not labels.

Yes it could be tied with something else. Have someone press the raise switch outside and see if a red led lights up ( = burnt fuse) at the panel. Also there could be a fuse underneath trailer near tongue.

Also if you have a battery disconnect, make sure it is "on".

Have same problem with 2014 Rockwood. Both the switches went bad and replaced them. Also found 20 amp fuse in distrubution panel msrk "PSJ" as previously mentioned. Jacks work in either direction, usually one or two uses and than blow fuse again. Some have suggested a bad ground or possible corrosion on the threaded portion of the jacks causing motors to work harder and drawing more power. When I purchased the new switches, the manufacturer included two 30amp in-line fuses. I asked the dealer about it and they were at a loss. (20amp in panel covering a 30amp near the tongue outside.)

I had the some problem on a 261bhxl. Fuse panel for jacks was behindain power panel under fridge. It is mounted on the fender well. Main power panel had to be removed. Two screws and four screws on panel. MAKE SURE SHORE POWER IS NOT PLUGGED IN. 120 volts in main panel. Replaced fuse. It has not reblown.

BTW this info was provided by the Salem specific helpline at Forest River 574-534-1251. Dealer, Lippert or any other dept at Forest River did not know. It is not in any generic wiring diagram. They also told me to disconnect the positive battery post when manually raising as the motor acts as a generator as you spin it. I used a 7/8 " 1/2 inch drive 12 point socket as the tool with trailer only operates the tongue jack.

Stabilizer Jacks Not Working

This past summer while camping, a neighboring site owner of a 5th wheel was having a problem with his stabilizers. He had extended them out too far to complete wheel repair. What he had to was reconnect the 5ver to his tow vehicle. That sent some kind of message to his control panel and all was well again for him. He was told this by a RV Repair Shop.

Good Luck to you!!!

leveling pedastals not working.

My 36ckts Cedar Creek blows the circuit breaker about once a month. It is located on the copper block that the main LCI pump wires go to the batteries. It is a black button on the left side near the top. The button is hard to see but you can feel it with your fingers. Simply push it back in and your operational. The button is about the size of the O in this message so it's easy not to see it on the copper power block near the pump and batteries. Good luck.. LCI sent me pictures of this panel, problem solved except for the reason it keeps popping out. I'll have it checked soon under warranty.

Well didn't find any blown fuses and also found out that the dealer gave me a crank handle for a manual scissor jack. I will be visiting them tomorrow to get the correct crank handle. I do believe that my switches are bad.
