Stereo Installation: 2013 Salem/Wildwood 195BH

Hello Everyone,

We recently purchased a new, Salem T195BH. It did not come with a stereo.

I'd like to install a "car" stereo in the space between the cabinets, above the dinette. There's panel there that seems to enclose a space that could contain an A/C unit or stereo+speakers, I think. (Some of these have a 5,000 BTU A/C in this position; ours has a 13,500 BTU A/C unit on the roof.)

So, here are my questions:

Is the trailer likely to be pre-wired for a stereo in this position?

Any advice about removing this panel? (I don't see any screws or fasteners of any kind, so I was thinking about gently forcing it pack into the cabinet in hopes that it is only nailed or stapled on the inside. Dumb idea?)

Any general advice about installing a stereo?

Thanks!

We recently purchased a Salem 185RB and like yours, our AC is up topside. We have pretty much the same question so thank you for asking it. Hopefully someone will give us both some guidance. And, congrats on your new purchase!

What was the result here? I just got a 195bh without a radio and want I install. Mine however has the window unit AC above the dinette, but there are some empty panels above the bed a radio could fit. I just don't know how to go about installing or wiring?
