Storage Compartment locks

I'm not happy with my pass through storage locks on my 08 27' Salem LE. They're hard to use and easy to defeat.

I know I can get replacements, but I'm home, the camper is in the mountains and the RV supply store is in between.

Does anyone know the size lock I need or would be willing to offer a SWAG? I can pick up some locks on the way and bring them back for return if I need to. But since I'm going I might as well take something...even if it's wrong.

No matter what kind of lock you use 4 seconds with a screwdriver or small prybar will defeat the lock if somebody wants in bad enough. I don't keep anything of great value in our garage.

Every storage compartment lock on every RV I've ever owned are worthless. I rarely ever use them. Like the other poster, I don't keep anything of much value in them. If someone wants my can of WD40 bad enough they can have it. I recently took my TT in for some service so I locked everything... what a mistake. It took me at least 15 mintues and I almost broke off the keys trying to get them back unlocked. Kind of hard to believe that's the best they can do.
