Super Flush for Black Water Tank
How on to Horror Story 2. When Jim empty black water tank hoping to get rid of nasty odor in 5th wheel he hooked up the super flush (not sure what it is really called) inside is my job outside is his. Turned on water. Water went everywhere. Under 5th wheel, inside pass through, everywhere. There was something lose or cracked. Turned it off quick. He didn't mess with it. Didn't want to void warranty. Another thing we will have service dept look at.................

What year is your Salem and have you had freezing temperature where you are? It might be your anti-syphon valve that malfunction.

It sounds like your black water flush line may not be connected to the holding tank. The smell is probably coming out the hole in the tank where the power flush is supposed to be connected.

Thanks for the reply..
I have been reading some horror stories about the infamous Dometic 300 Toilet. Well guess what we have the same model. They have a secret compartment that holds some of the wastes in their little plastic body. YUCKY.
Will be calling FV or Dometic about this. As for the super flush we will have to take to service dept and have them take a look. It should be a warranty fix.

If water went everywhere, it is possibly the back flow preventer valve. Lots of times they are installed in the bathroom, in a cabinet.

Since this is a new RV, RUN, don't walk back to your dealer with this (and any other issues) - I agree, most likely your blackwater flush line is clogged/disconnected/malfunctioning
As for the toilet - same thing - let your dealer work through any issues you may have with the toilet.
Best of Luck and let us know how it goes!

UpDate: Super Flush/Black Water Tank Flush
Jim has been so busy at work and we both came down with the yucky Grud. That was a good week in the Christmas Holidays. I still have a touch.
He finally felt good enough yesterday to take a better look.
Unscrewed the walls.
ALL of the connections were loose.
Tighten them
Connect water hose.
Turned on
and all is well. Yea Haw.............Happy New Years
I guess Super Flush had so much pressure that it caused it to spray out.

If you have 1 and 1/2 baths then you will most likely have 2 black tanks.
If you only have one black tank flush, (like mentioned) then it will most likely go to the primary or the front tank (at least on 5th wheels).
Ps. Our new 5er has 2 black tank and 3 gray tanks. The black tank flush goes to the front tank. I asked for them to add a second rinse to rear tank. But was told that they couldn't do it, the back flow valve or something was keeping them from doing it. I guess we'll see when it shows up.
