Three Questions About The Salem T23fbl

I'm New To This Forum And I Have Three Questions Concerning Our New T23fbl. Please Note That My Trailer Is A Wildwood. However Since The Salem T23fbl Is Identical To The Wildwood T23fbl I Thought I'd Post My Questions Here As Well As On The Wildwood Forum.

1. What Caused The Listed Weight For The T23fbl To Jump From 3800 In 2004 To 4600 Pounds In 2007? You May Not Know The Answer To This But Perhaps You Have A Hunch.

2. Is There A Manual Over-ride For The Sofa Slide In Case The Electric Mechanism Fails? Our Dealer Was Unable To Answer That Which I Found Unsettling.

3. Have You Had Any Mechancial Problems With Salems That Would Justify Spending Something In The Range Of 1,000 To 1,400 For An Extended Warranty (seven Years). Our Previous Trailer, A 1998 Salem 17 Foot, Was Trouble Free For The Nine Years We Owned It.

Now I'll Sit Back And Wait For Some Good Advice.

probably best to stick with one post for the questions... you'll be more likely to get a single source for the advice.

  • Salem 401-2b; 31" Sony Trinitron and two channels on the antenna.
  • Smokin' hot wife... 2 boys, 25 and 10.

83 sweet sweet days camped in 2008 - not easy in my neck of the woods!

I own a SALEM park model for one season.
No problems really. Minor things I just fix myself. Nothing I've needed under warranty except a broken latch on the converter panel cover. I didn't buy an extended warranty...and never have on travel trailers.
