To Cover or not to Cover?

I have a 2004 27 foot Salem Travel Trailer and I would like to know what the advantages and disadvantages are of covering it up for the winter. I live in Maine and we get a lot of snow. I've covered up my previous 5th wheel, but that had a metal roof.

I always put a cover on mine when I put the camper up for the winter. It helps to keep roof clean and dry and the roof sealant will last longer. Also keeps camper cleaner and protects from the sun. I just purchased a new one on Sat so after our last trip In Nov time to winterize and cover. Also this topic has been discussed before with pros and cons. Later RJD

South of you in central Mass and I have covered for last 3 winters. A search in the box upper right corner will lead you to all the various opinions that have been expressed ad nauseam. Happy reading
