One Caution, I noticed a drip coming from the area of the outlet connection comes through the underbelly and poked a hole with my pocket knife through and a stream of about a gallon of liquid brown waste water was trapped in the confined space. Dometic sent me a new 300 toilet, but I took it to the dealer and are having them check the black tank and connections.
We have been in the trailer almost consistently since mid April. If we used it intermittently, probably wouldn't have noticed it for some time. the dealer didn't think it was a toilet issue.
BTW, I spoke with 2 FR dealers and neither had heard there were problems with the dometic 300s.
Just an FYI for others out there with odor problems.

Smile 300 Update

The revamped 300 Dometic toilet solved the problem (previous post #20). No odors or "unsanitary deposits" in the inside compartment of the toilet. I applaud Dometic for stepping up to the plate and taking responsibility for a bad design. When mama is happy, everybody is happy!

Folks, check my post on the plumbing forum. My odor wasn't the toilet at all.

So I just received my 2015 Hemisphere last week.

Do you think FR is using the newer toilets or where they still using old stock in the new TTs.

I didn't have odor on my 2015 but it developed a leak on second trip dealer said it's a faulty cheap valve under the toilet. At least it was fresh water...

FR is using the modified Dometic 300s now, that's all that Dometic supplies. If you want to check, write down the serial # (at the base of the toilet kinda behind the foot flush lever) and call Dometic Customer service and they can tell you for sure. I found it easier to take a photo with my cell phone rather than try to read the tag.

I have a 2014 Salem 27 RKSS and have the toilet in question and also have the nasty odor at times. I contacted my dealer and they never heard of this before. I now have to gather the model number for them. Hope this goes well.

I would not bother with the dealer, contact Dometic directly.

Contact - Dometic

SPECIFY!

Welcome to the forums from SW Idaho.

Seriously it would be better to start your own thread so that you get answers to your particular problem.

Please post the year, model number/name of your trailer in that thread.

Would assume(yes, I know) that he posted on a "Toilet Odor" thread, that he had the same problem. Just a swag.
