TV Mount?

I just bought a 2010 forest River Salem 23' trailer. I have a tv mount but the area that is for a tv seems kinda weak to install the mount. It is a wall mout that i have but not sure if it will work. Can anyone help me with a idea or know the correct way to install a tv. Thanks

I installed a piece of 3/4" plywood to fill the entire opening and then a section of 2X4 on top of that where my actual mount was going to attach. This have me 3" of total wood to drill into which is how long the screws were for my mount.

Overall, I'm very happy with the function... not so much with the look. I'm going to get some black fabric to cover the "ugliness" but haven't got around to it yet.
