On a 2014 it should already be done. Just turn on both the tv and the stereo unit. Turn up the volume on the stereo. On the MODE select on the remote, start scrolling through the modes: AM / FM / CD / etc.

You should find AV1 and AV2 modes. Selecting one of those modes (and it seems to vary; mine is on AV 2, somebody else said theirs is on AV1 but one of those modes should make the television play through the surround sound system. Be sure that at least one set of your speakers (A, B and C setting) are turned on.

Ditto same cable that I can hook phone to the radio system plugs into the tv output so one cable and multiple devices.

I have the Salem 27RKSS with a Jensen AWM910 radio - no remote. Do you have the same radio?

Looks like my Samsung does not have an audio output or headphone connector.

I have a Genesis 3.0. My surround plays on AV 2, However, it did not play until I connected the HDMI cable from the TV to the rear of the radio. The radio's HDMI is on the back behind a piece of tape. Nope no idea why.

We have a Jensen unit in our 282RK and you have to use a separate cable -- sounds the same as several above.
