Hey guys,

Just took off for a camping trip this past weekend and while entering the ON-Ramp for the interstate I noticed that a small car was trying to pass me on the left - Double lanes which then marge to right lane for interstate access - and there was no time for me slow down so I figured they would see they didn't have room and slow down and get behind me.

Well I had to pay attention to getting merged onto the interstate since it was heavy traffic and so I looked back and see them almost slam on their brakes and move over. Seeing that their side of the road had ended they were just giving up and moving over.

Well I get to the campground and start to setup camp. When I go to open my rear hatch on the drivers side. And I see that its been busted in. Looks like that car's mirror slammed right into the hatch.

I eventually pried it open, but now I have a busted door. I'm going to assume my Insurance deductible will be more than the cost of a new door.

Do I need to go through Forest River to get a new door, or does someone else sell them as direct replacement/color?

More then likely you going to have to go through FR. I would call your division and ask for the parts person. Take a picture and your last 6 #'s of your Vin and email it to them. It will be faster and cheaper then going to your stealer. I do it all the time.

See if there is a tag on the inside of the door. The ones on my motor home are made by Challenger. Might be easier to order one from the component manufacturer or a third party. That looks like it might be a Challenger 600 series.

My Hemisphere 5ver has doors that appear to be the same style has LCI stickers on the inside of the door.

Lci, is a lot faster then fr. You can just call custormerservice at lci they ship fast.

I will tell you LCI has there hands in everything, but easy people to deal with. Some people don't like them but they been good to me.
