White knuckle towing

RaystownRob,
The story of your life? Doing more with less has its place and we all have done that somewhere before.
The proper equipment might be the story that SAVES your life, and that of your family and/or someone else's. I would find some 16" or 17" wheels and tires. In an LT tire and smaller wheels you will enjoy the drive a lot more and not worry about an accident.
I tow 35' TT with a 163" wheelbase F-150 extended cab with Michelin LTX tires and the thing that really settled my rig down and made it enjoyable to tow was a Hensley Hitch. They are not cheap but life is not either. Found mine used on C-list, Hensley also sells recon/guaranteed for life units.

Okie, Joe,
I don't know if you are still looking for more opinions but I'm throwing mine in too. First have you looked at other FR models besides the ones you have listed. We had a FR Grey Wolf 28BHS and was very happy with it and it pulled great. We just upgraded to a 5th wheel Salem Hemisphere and it's like moving from an apartment to a house with the size. The options & luxury it has is better then my Grey Wolf but my Grey Wolf was 4 years older. Have you looked at Palomino TT? Forest River owns them and from what I've been told they are at the higher luxury end of TT and 5th wheels. Just my thoughts I went with the Salem because it had everything I wanted to fit my family and my budget.
