Window Screen Replacement

Has anyone replaced a ripped screen yet? If so, did you buy from dealer and replace yourself?

Window Screen Replacement

I replaced the screen in our screen door. I seem to recall I got the screen material and the spline roller tool on Amazon, reusing the original spline. I haven't had a rip in the window screens, but if I do, I would plan to replace it myself again. The spline tool was helpful, but a small flathead screwdriver, combined with lots of care & patience worked, too.

If the screen frame was bent or damaged, I'd probably have a different response.

The roller tool I have was purchased in the 80"s for $2, paid for it self many times since. My 14 y/o Son replaced all of our neighbors screens last weekend. He spent more tme enjoying the ice cream they gave him than actually replacing the screen fabric. Figure 5 minutes tops for each. Very easy to do and the fabric is dirt cheap.
