30 Amp sites with 371 REBH

Hi All,
I will be picking up my 371 REBH in the first week of May. I'm brand new to all of this.

I am considering reserve a site at a campground with only 30 amp service available (all the 50 amp sites are booked).

Will I be able to run electrical over 30 amps? Do I need an adapter of some kind if I do? It will be June in Tennessee, so we will probably need/want some AC but I'm not sure how much.

Thanks for any advice/help.

You will need a converter plug to go from 50 to 30 amp plug, they are available in many places, RV dealer, amazon, Walmart sometimes. For AC you will be able to run one unit not two if that is what you have. You will also have to be careful if you have your water heater on electric and the AC on as this will max out a 30 amp circuit.

Check with your dealer, when I ordered mine they said a 50amp extension cord and a 30 amp adapter that youroo mention was standard as part of the deal.....Even though I am still waiting for mine to come in

You can run 2 A/C's as long as your water heater is off and no other major loads are being pulled. We do this every summer at the lake.

I use a splitter to get power on both sides of the 50 Amp . I check everything with a mutimeter before plugging in the unit cord. Plug one side into the 15 amp recepacl with adapter and the othe side into the 30 amp. Can run everything in unit. Yo can purchase the splitte at camping world as well as the other adapters.

We have run our 5er several times on 30amp service. Like others have said we only run one AC unit.
