We bought a new 35 ROK June 28th and went on an 8 day shake-down trip with the following results;
1. Water pump was not connected electrically nor was it bolted down! Suppose it could have been the dealer that cannibalized and didn't complete the reinstall.
2. TV lift remote was never programed.
3. TV cabling was a mess, Satellite cable to main TV in living area is shorted (center conductor to shield) somewhere between the docking station up front and the rear of the trailer. Manufacturer really needs to include a schematic on TV wiring (cable, antenna, satellite) labeling.
3 connections for satellite at the docking station (rear, front, main) but only 2 had wire connections!
4. Closet doors in bedroom came off and were lying on the bed because the lower track guides were never installed!
5. Shower leaked because of chalking(lack of).
6. Bathroom door would not latch closed
7. Not just manufacturing but dealer prep was lacking, it's all about the sale.

Did you not do a thorough PDI before picking up your unit. Most of these issues should have been found during your PDI.

You post on here about your troubles and another forum poster asks a valid question.

Yup, your right. We did do a thorough PEI however you can only check so much.
The satellite cannot be checked without actually connecting, the antenna system was checked and functioned normally. Didn't find out about the satellite until we connected our satellite system. (Seems to be a recurring theme on other Sandpiper units).
The water system was connected to city water and only a turn-on of the pump power switch was performed which showed power on.
Did not notice the bottom guides on the closet doors had not been installed.
Shower leaked only after actual use. Chalking took care of it.
Bathroom door appeared to latch at PEI however a slight push opened the door. (Striker alignment was adjusted)
Outdoor entertainment center TV lift was no big deal other than zero information provided by manufacturer about how to program the remote.

Quality control is the question and would appear to be industry/manufacturer wide (judging from other forums)

Sounds like normal stuff these days. My Rebh shower leaked, door shuts some times other times it doesn't. Closet doors had issues, my hot water was not plugged in. TV was 1 bolt hole to low so the remote wouldn't work, had 1 burner tube disconnected in the stove, had retape all the AC joints, I'm sure there are some other things but hey whadda ya do? Until we the people quit buying the junk there selling nothing will change. But then again it's also price point. Put 2 identical appearing trailers side by side and offer 1 for 50k the other for 100k. Guess which one sells. Even though the 100k unit is built better and trouble free we will take the problematic one for half the money every time.
