371 REBH Extra Storage Mod

Hey,

Though I would post this picture of the mod I did to gain extra storage. I found lots of extra room in the left of the storage compartment when I opened it up to see why in the inverter wasn't working. The stock storage was very small compared to our old unit.

Here is a picture of all the space behind the wall.

As you can see there is tons of wasted space. I was able to move the wall back 22" or so. It did involve moving back the water pipes and drain to the washing machine.

Here is the finished product. I also added another inverter for the small bar fridge to keep drinks cold while traveling since we can't get to the full size fridge easily with the slides closed.

It adds almost 1/3 of extra storage. If people are interested in this mod I can post some more pics and details of exactly what had to be done. It's very tight in there so doing this alone took me around 6-8 hours. The finished product is amazing though!!

Cheers,

Seb

Looks great. Thinking about doing this over the winter. Lots of wasted space in these basements.

The fridge is 19" high. It wasn't easy to get it in. Had to use a small painters pry bar to get the legs through. Once it's in it has tons of room.

Looks great! That was the exact same place I was going to put my media server on my 365saq. Good idea on the inverter. Well done.
