371 REBH Water Pump & HW Bypass

Going on a late fall trip and when I get back don't want to start ripping apart the camper to find the pump and bypass to winterize it before it freezes. Can someone save me some time and tell me where they are located?

The bypass for the water pump is right on the control panel with all the other inputs. The tube for the antifreeze pulls out right from there.

I hope these help. I haven't winterized mine yet as we have a few trips left. It seems like it is going to be fairly easy, just more time consuming if you have a washer and the residential fridge with ice maker....

I just winterized mine today. I have a 2016 35ROK. Flipping the water heater bypass and antifreeze inlet was easy. My only wish is that they would put a pump switch in the docking station to make it easier for winterizing.

That valve switches from the fresh water tank to the suction hose for winterizing. It should be turned at a 90* to the line for suction line.

I was winterizing the residential fridge and was waiting for pink slush to come out no luck after a gallon ran through called the dealer and the said if you don't remove the fridge water filter it will be white slush if you remove the water filter it will be pink so I guess I am done. On another note do you leave your facets open or do you turn them off?

I close mine, but I relieve all pressure from the lines.

What is the advantage to using the anti freeze vs blowing the lines out with an air compressor? And then how do you dewinterize?

There will usually be some residual water laying in the lines. That will collect in low lying areas. The antifreeze will push the remaining water out and give you better protection, if you live in a hard freeze area. On a larger 5th wheel with 2 baths it can take up to 5 gallons. My 365saq took right at 4 1/2.

Your welcome. Don't forget to fill the water filter with empty plastic water bottles, golf balls, etc., anything to take up space.

3.5 gals. No problems. Opened the low point drains (tank, main cold and hot, ice maker) opened kitchen, bath, shower faucets. closed low point drains. Drained hot water heater thru anode rod. Put empty water bottle in the filter bowl, removed frig water filter. Flip the red hot water bypass, switch the winterization value. Stuck the "winterization kit" (as labeled on camper) tube in the gallon of antifreeze and turned on water pump, ran toilet, shower, bath, kitchen (hot and cold water) until pink. cycled thru 3 gallons. Left frig on for three ice cycles (with tube in antifreeze and pump on) and then got pink slush cubes. Except waiting for the ice maker, everything else took about 40 minutes. Thanks for all the folks that put tips and hints here!

Great description / run down! Did you have to do a washing machine?

I did the same as you did except drained the washing machine and started a quick cycle and stopped and drained it
