381RBOK water heater and furnace

Does anyone know if the water heater and/or 40k btu furnace in the polar package are dual elec and propane? Our unit is on order and I can't find any details on it.
Also, does forest river still offer a second year warranty for like $200? I have a 3 year old camper and I remember a form I found online. Wasn't sure if this big 5th wheel would have a cheap warranty extension available for it or not.

Thanks!

Water heater is dual, furnace is propane only. But you do have the electric fireplace in the living area. That alone kept us warm this weekend. You have to keep the bedroom doors open. I think overnight it was in the 30s.

Check your fridge when you get it. Ours wasn't anchored correctly and became a projectile this weekend in transit. Called our dealer and they checked all the ones they had in stock and they said that they were calling FR for us and their in stock units. Said they were concerned about those too.

No problem. We drove up to Oh. to get ours. It had the polar package. Are you getting the auto level? Ours has that too and OMG we went from 20-30 minute setups with our TT to 5 with the 381!

Mine is going in a year round spot so opted without the auto level. I am a bit concerned about stabilization so will see what I can rig up after I get setup. I did get the polar package. Also the trifold couch in back. I was looking at OH but my local dealer treated me right so purchased from them.

I have seen ads for a kit to add electric heat to a propane furnace.

My dealer didn't (5min from the house), so I drove to Oh. BEST decision I made. As far as stabilization in the rear, yes, when the kids bounce around in their room it shakes the whole unit. I need to figure out something to stabilize it near the bumper.

Interesting. Do you have any links or direct experience with the results?

I'm curious about the furnace conversion too although I'm ok with Propane for the few times I likely will need it. I haven't done the math on the economics of heating this with elec. vs. propane (unfortunately I have to pay my own elec. bill at my spot). And I completely forgot about the fireplace!

Great to hear you had a good experience in OH. I laughed at my dealer who tried to pull the "oh the guys in OH.. yah, good luck with that.." sales tactic. then I pointed out the fact that they had 3 times as many positive reviews as my local dealer.

One more question (even though off topic from OP): I couldn't find any info about the audio system. It talks about the sound bar, but is there even a radio in the unit? Or, better yet bluetooth so I can play from the phones/ipads through the speakers on the unit? I recall seeing speakers outside so I would have guessed there is but I can't find any info on it.

Thanks again everyone.

Yes my sound bar does radio, tv, dvd and BT for phones etc. It runs off both electric and battery.

To this point I don't have a bad thing to say about Holman Motors. They've been excellent. Even went as far as telling me that if FR gave me the run around with my wrecking ball fridge to let them know so they could help push things along. Said they would take care of it if I brought it back but that's a 2000 mile round trip.

Got that comfy cozy feeling when the service manager called and said, yes we checked all of our units on site and we are contacting FR about those fridges in addition to yours.
