Thats it to the exact. Beaware there is no packing around the ac so it might come in damaged. Just saying.

The little sensor cover is white. I had to paint mine black.

Hey no problem!! U need to look at your ac that u have now and see which one u need the cat 5 to. Mine was the bedroom.
On the control box there are two rj11 connectors but one ac only has one plugged in. The third ac will plug into that one.

In the 3rd ac control box turn on zone three dip switch and reset ur thermostat and it will pickup the third one.

UGH of course I think I have to run to my master bedroom too. I remember seeing both receptacles full on the one under the main A/C... I was l up there looking for holes in the duct work. For that matter I bet you could run that cat5 all the way down the ducts and that would be one less cable to wrestle through the attic. I scoped my ducts looking for open joints thinking that was the issue. They do in fact run all the way from front to back on both sides.

I warned the wife today too that if this recall doesn't fix it and we are also putting the heat shield tint on the windows, that we are in fact doing this. A total pain to have to do so.......

Yea we shouldnt have to do all this to a 45,000 dollar rv. But in order to meet our needs i guess its a must.

Yea i ran it thru the attic andnot the vents. The vent system has enough problems without me making more holes lol.

My vent system is a big u. In the bedroom there is a horseshoe that ties both ducts to each other so air can balance between the two ducts. I found this out when i was cutting more vents in. I missed about a 1/4 of the duct when drilling out the vent holes in the bedroom.

With 3 acs you can get cool in there. No need for window stuff. It makes it liveable again.

Honestly, I think my 'Piper does a good job. It maintains a little better than a 20* delta even with the kids coming in and out. I think it could be a little better as it sits, but not much. I simply like it cold. I want 68*, not 76* while I am at the beach. I honestly don't mind having to add the third AC. I really don't think there are any units out there that would meet my expectations with 2 ACs.

We keep our house at 72. The best i could cool our new onewas 76-78 degrees which wasnt enough for us. Taping all the vents and stuff helped out alot. And in 80 degree days it would do fine with 2 or even one but if we want to go camping at the beach in the summer with no shade that wasnt cutting it. Id rather have too much then just barely getting by. Plus now if one unit dies while were camping we dont have to leave.

Yes you will need a 12 volt circuit if your not adding to the existing.

Its cheaper to use the thermostat if u have the ccc2 now.
You need a remote thermostat sensor and thr multizone box. You can use the ducted lower unit but just keep the vent open. You to u.

If you go that route you dont need anymore 12 volts back there.

I have some cat5E wire that I will use. The A/C in the living area has a t-stat but the one in the bedroom is manual. I'm just going to buy the ducked ceiling mount and leave the vent open. I will post some photos later so others can get different ideas on way to run the cable. I'm tapping into the Washer/Dryer outlet which is on a 20amp breaker.

Us too. 72* and with a 91* exterior temp out unit only gets to 78 in the main cabin and bunk house during the day, a mere 13* differential and not the 20* they say is satisfactory. The master bedroom I could get to 65. That's great if you want to spend the day in the master.....

O yea i think they need to recalculate there ac requirements and offer a third ac. Its less than a thousand dollars for us to add it after they built it so i know it wouldnt cost them 500 bucks as many as they buy.

Be aware that when using the dryer breaker the breaker will only take one wire.

You can get a double at lowes. But we have a washer dryer in ours so i had to get a tandem breaker.

We have 2. One washer and one dryer. Splendide. They work great. Wash and dry both. But u have to remember not too big of loads or it wont dry. We always wash everynight so we dont get behind.
You can wash one while the other is drying and it works out pretty good. We have 2 small kids so they went thru alot of clothes.

If you change your washing habits from your house schedule youll be fine and theh work great but you can overload them.

It also take about 75 mins to dry towels vs 40 at home. But there power

Just to make sure I'm understanding correctly... removing the rear skylight/vent, you didn't have to add any more bracing? I was going to have the dealer do my install, but if there isn't any bracing that needs to be added, I can handle this job myself.

Yes bracing is there. The vent is boxed out which is what the ac requires to install as it sandwiches the roof inside and the outside.

In the dometic manual it states no extra bracing is required in a walkable roof as it only weights 75 pounds or so.

Interested to hear what they quoted you. Mine was kind of high I think and they said they were going to add a second shore line to do it instead of running back to the breaker box........
