Another great weekend in the 365!

We had another beautiful weekend here in Georgia and we spent it camping in the 365. Still love this rig. Spent the weekend with the kids kayaking, bike riding and trail hiking. Here are a couple of pics of Watson Mill State Park.

Now that looks like a great park, I may just have to check it out, it's only about 5 hours from here.

looks like a nice park but not sure i like the idea of booking a site then showing up and having to choose from whats left.. I'm sure the best sites get full fast and even though i paid my money weeks in advance I have to take whatever is left

That is the number one complaint about Ga State Parks. It has really upset lots of people. I try to get there early, but sometimes that's just not easy to do. This park is very small and very tight for bigger rigs. Even some of the pull thrus you have to back out of. Not a big deal though. We are trying to hit more parks than just our normal ones this year. Working out pretty well so far.

One of those photos of the covered bridge would make for a great screen saver.

Texas state parks are the same. You can rent a spot just don't know which one you'll get till you get there.

I like the Reserve America, you pick and reserve the site you want, most parks have three pictures of each site, they tell you the size of the site and the amps.

In Oklahoma you can't even make reservations. You just have to hope they have a spot when you get there.

Tennessee just recently changed their online booking system to reserve ahead of time and can pick your site in advance. The site usually has a couple pictures of the sites to help you pick them out if you are unfamiliar. Like I said, it's pretty new but seems to be working pretty well.

I really wish Georgia would do that. That might also force them to update some of the sites that no one really wants for one reason or another.
