Talking HELP! How To Manually Use Slide Out & In Need Of Wiring Guide & Owners Manual

I just bought a used 1997 Sandpiper with Slide Out and Awning. The travel trailer it self is in amazing condition however, I did just find out today that the wiring hook up to use a generator for power has been cut clean and looks like all the wires maybe usable and they cut right at connector. So I need to know, where to get the connector and does anyone know of a way to manually get the slide out moving to the full extension range and back in? And i need to know where i can get new locks and keys. Also if anyone happens to have a wiring guide for this style/model travel trailer and or even the owner's manual they could copy or send me a PDF or word document of, that would be wonderful! Thanks Everyone!

Congrats and WELCOME!!! I can't help with you manuals, but have you checked the "Library Section" in the green bar at the top? You may find some manuals that appy there. Good Luck.

There are manuals in the FAQ Forum for just about everything as well.
http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/downloads.php

Wiring diagrams are a bit more difficult because the manufacturer uses "shop drawings" to wire the campers. Wire colors can vary greatly based on what they have on hand in that gauge at the time the camper is built (it seems).

A few generic wiring diagrams are available in the FAQ that have been discovered by members.

The baggage door keys are most likely CH-751 keys and are literally EVERYwhere. Find a friend with a camper and borrow one to copy. MOst every camper in the world uses the same key.

The door keys can be made for you at a dealership provided you have the VIN and the owner's card (I have heard).

Ok great thanks for the info. I don't have any info on the trailer right now I am at home. And is there a website I can order the keys from?

Are you saying they cut the wires from the male plug of the shore power to the converter?

In the back room, on the left if your looking toward the front on the trailer, at floor level there is a hole in the wall and at that point where the male plug would lead outside all the wires are cut clean.

I am sure you can get the baggage keys from eBay (CH-751 | eBay) but I am pretty sure you will need to prove ownership to get the correct entry and deadbolt keys for the doors.

You could also replace the door locks:

So the male plug is gone and just a hole in the wall? If that's the case, you should be able to buy the receptacle with the plug and re-attach the existing wires.

Well not sure but I assume you have a hole in the rig where a 30 amp power receptacle should be such as:

There should be labels on the pins... Black to HOT, White to Neutral, Green to Ground.
