Was that a used RV when you purchased it or was it just sitting on the dealers lot too long? Regardless, I'm sorry to hear of your troubles.

Sorry for your problems

Sounds like alot of things that need cleaning up. Two things you might want to consider. One is to contact FR Sandpiper/Sierra plant in Goshen to see if they can help this winter and two, try to hold on until the FROG rally in Goshen next August, attend the rally and have the hard working techs that FR sends out take care of your issues.

If you want a contact name at the plant let me know by pm and I'll hook you up. At least it would be a start. All the best

Dave

This is good information to know. I’ll have to tone back my recommendation of the Goshen Rally for repairs unless I know they are the original owners of their rig. I’d hate to recommend the rally to someone only to find they had repairs rejected because they bought their rig used.

I spoke to a couple at last years rally who had bought their rig used and were getting lots of things fixed by the techs.

Just wish Forest River was more concerned about these issues.
More I read. A lot of my issuses are happening to others as well.
Just not all in a year.
We spend good hard money on a RV .We should expect a little more Quality .

I've had my 345 RET for four seasons and not one issue. I have replaced my tires and brakes last year because they were worn pretty good. Sorry for your troubles.

This is scary. We haven't purchased our 5ver yet. We owned a1999 Sunnybrook for 13 years and only had two problems with it, both were fixed easily. But unfortunately, Sunnybrook is not what it once was. I hope this is not indicative of FR quality.,

You can get a bad unit with ANY brand RV even the high-end ones. Sometimes it's the luck of the draw.

A reason why I am glad that I bought the extended warranty.
I would be screwed if I did not.
But still money out of my pocket and time loss of camping.
Unfortunately you win some or lose some.
Every camper I have had I never had this many issues before.

Hard to say how it was treated before you bought it. I think we've all heard the "only driven by a little old lady on Sunday" stories.

Unfortunately alot of the issues has nothing to do with previous owner.
And you can always tell how a trailer was taken care of .It was a very clean unit.Compared to the 50 we looked at before decided on this one.

Just saw your post and this discussion hrlyguy. Really sorry to hear about your issues. I also have a valve leaking and another one that is hard to open/close. (Fortunately galley and gray) I actually think mine has to do with the bend radius of the cables which does not allow the cables to operate the valve properly. Pull off the panel to the left of your docking station and look at the bend in your cables. (I actually cut a hole in that panel, put plexiglass over the hole, and put a light back there so that I can check all the mechanicals back there easily (See my pics). I'm gonna drop my belly pan over the winter and try rerouting and/or replacing the cables. All in all, I'm fortunate that I haven't had the issues your are experiencing.

Kerrlakelover.
My galley valve was leaking due to some sort of large piece of plastic lodged in the valve.
Had to be when they put it together. No way a piece can get down the drain.
So check that.Good luck
