Manually close slides.

Gonna make me look dumb, but I didn't ask how to manually close slides on our '15 355 RE, or if we could. Tried searching, no joy. Not in manual, and our dealer not only went bankrupt, he passed away, really good man, sorry to lose him.
I would think all pipers that are similar would have same set up.?
Can I close manually?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Here is a Lippert system instruction. Pretty simple with the screw type per the video.

The multiple motor type have flat gear tracks on the sides of the slide, visible. They
are different and the motors must be loosened to disengage the gear.

It depends on the type(s) of slide outs you have.

Glad you tagged in!!
4 slides are hydraulic. Small rr slide is electric(lippert, small tracks bottom/top?). Do have a tool from the video, in basement.
All started because I want to put in valves to control order of slide extension.
Raining here, and I'm wearing a chemo pump till Thursday eve.

I assume this slide looks like this on the bottom/top:

If so, I hate to be the bearer of bad news (as I have 2 of these), the only manual retraction of these slides is to disconnect the motors and push like he-double-hockey-sticks.

Disconnecting the motors was tricky in and of itself. I could reach one, but with the slide of the roof- I had to lift my daughter up onto the slide roof and talk her through dealing with it.

Getting to the motor meant removing trim:

And then pushing this relatively small slide (bunk bed size is 70" x 30" and it fills the space). It housed a love seat and the bunk at the time and was all I could do to move it. To the point that I "bruised" my arm from pushing on the slide fascia:

The others, I honestly don't know much about.

I have the tool you described. I posted here thinking another piper owner would have gotten instructions on this. Thanks.
Guess I'll climb around and find it. Belly is fully enclosed. I'll drop it, one time, and cut in gates!!!
1st trip this year this weekend!!!!! Gotta do something to it besides wash!

Hopefully someone does know. Have you contacted the warranty rep for Sandpiper? I'd bet they could tell you, too.

No controls added(yet). I'm doing head scratching now, to figure out best way to mount them. All slides are working, I realized tho that if something does happen, I didn't know how to manually pull them in.
The slides we need to come out to get to the kitchen area are the largest, and naturally the last to come out. If I put a gate valve in the other two, close them, I should be able to open the ones I need. No?
4 are hyd, 1 is elec.
Thoughts?

Fitter/fabricator. Can't stand this system! And the lightest, smaller slides come out first, so blocking them in should do it! Bed/bath are reachable with slides in!

Mine is the same way. All 4 are hydraulic with no way to select each one. I didn't realize the ability to select them wasnt standard when we bought it so didn't really give it a thought when we inspected it.

It hasn't been too big of a deal yet, but I am interested in hearing and seeing your experience in tackling this. Please keep us posted.

This brings back Memories of the night at a RV Rest area this "New Dually Dodge/5wheel/with a trailer loaded with Golf cart" pulled in a parking Slot between two of us already parked for the night! There was All kinds of Yelling/cussing/flashlights,when a Knock on our door ask if we would MOVE because their Slides could not be Opened with our and the unit on the other side parked Legally! They said they could NOT use or even get In without the slides in the OUT position! They left the Rig there and walked across the street to a Motel! That was 9 years ago,I cant believe in 2016 the systems are Still like that! Youroo!!
