New Generator Project

So I have been drooling over the Honda 6500eu for awhile now. When they released the 7000eu with fuel injection for the same price I couldn't resist. With my short box truck I couldn't put it in the truck so I had a local shop build a rear rack with box. The 7000 is amazing it runs both a/c's in eco mode and is super quiet. Both a/c's running take 3000watts.

At 1/4-load, that is quieter than the Honda 2000. Does your rack include a ramp to get it up there?

I have atv ramps I will try. 3 of us just lifted it up there. It is quiet. The 3000eu is the gold standard for quiet and this is less while loaded than the 3000.

I keep telling my wife that I want to do something but have a hard time justifying the cost for the little bit that it would get used. My bet is, if we have it and it is easy to start/setup, that we would use it.

That seems like an awful lot of weight on the back of the RV (gen and rack). How does that effect the tongue weight?

Your generator mount looks very good. Here is the link to the generator mount I built for our 5er

Not sure I'm guessing it weighs about 500lbs. I have 2500lbs of tongue weight I don't notice any difference at all.
