Bought a 2015 Sandpiper, spent the first night last night and really enjoyed it. We have been camping since 2006 and spend on average 80 nights a year.

Had the infamous water filter twist off, quick fix based on its location was to put the wrench that came with it on it, wrench handle is tight on the wall and the filter cannot twist off. Will do until I get it back in for service or bypass it all together.

One item I could use some help on, rig has two dump outlets, one in the front and one around the wheels. One I assume is grey and one is black. Problem is the pull handles are both in the control center and I only have one stinky slinky. Would really want to know that when I pull the handle which outlet it is going to come out. Any help would be great.

Look back behind the rear wheels on the side of the camper and see if there is a hole similar to this


If so, unscrew it and you will find the levers for the rest of the tanks under there.

Had a great first weekend in the camper. Had some small issues like the water filter kept twisting off under pressure. I found on this forum it can be a common issue with the FR products, I used the wrench that was supplied with it to keep it from twirling off and will be the fix until I get it back to the dealer. Only other issues was a screw was half way out that the wife stubbed her toe on, very quick fix putting the screw in all the way and she forgot about the toe after an hour.

Pros to this camper, size, floor plan, bed is amazing, outdoor kitchen, led lights, kitchen island, slow close drawers and bathroom shower

Cons to the camper, find the grey water for the galley fills real quick single AC on a day pushing low 90s had a hard time keeping up. It did keep the camper around 76 but the master was warmer, like 80s. It is prepped for the second AC but we don't get a lot of days like that where I am at so not a huge concern.

Some of the guys on here have put on 3 AC units. Yep, the second up front and a third in the rear vent. Are you checking the galley water level just by a gauge or is water backing up into the galley? Congrats on the unit!

3 AC units, wow that's a lot but if it was hitting a 100 you would need it!

I never go off the gauges, they may be accurate when new but have always found them unrealizable. The water is backing up in the outdoor kitchen as it is the low point.

Our outdoor kitchen has the smallest tank on the unit. I believe it is around 35-40 gallons. If it is backing up quickly, makes me wonder if it has a vent problem. You are like I am, I don't use gauges as the mark either.

It very well could be a vent problem as I am guessing the tank is no more then 20 gallons based on how quick it is filling. The specs state 81 gallons of grey which I assumed would have been 40.5/40.5 but maybe they did do a 20/60 split.

I am going to try a couple of things. Drain the tank, run a gallon of water into a jug and time how long it takes to fill the gallon. Then run the tap and based on the time it runs before I get the issue it should give me a rough idea of gallons. I will then run the sink tap and see if it is backing up as well, if it is not maybe it is just the vent. I will do the same for the back grey tank, run a gallon timed then see how long to fill the tank, if I get 40 gallons there and 25 for the front I will have the dealer check it out.

Let me know if there is a better way to check.

When it fills, and backs up, if you leave it alone for a while does the water level go down? Just wondered if there was a change after a while? That may be indicative of a vent problem.

No change or bubbling, just stays backed up in the sink. Had left it for over an hour while we made supper and no change.
