Talking New Sandpiper Owner

Just picked up new 301bdh and love it. Have a few little things to fix. Took it out this weekend and found a small leak under the sink, one stabilizer jack would not go back up and I hit a turkey that was flying through the air. I am not kidding, the darn Turkey hit the top of the camper in flight and broke my marker light. Fixed it already.

Hi lawman1989,

Welcome to the forums.

Congrats on the new Sandpiper. That is one nice trailer.

Did the Turkey live through it?

Turkey troubles

I am sad to say that the turkey did a nose dive into the fast lane of the turnpike. I think it was killed on impact. Had it not been for the turnpike I would of had one heck of a meal!

Congrats on the new Sandpiper. I know you will enjoy it.

I found a leak under our sink when we got our Flagstaff. The fitting underneath was just loose. A quick handtightening did the trick.

Shame about that turkey. It had to be on a busy turnpike. And to think a hunter friend of mine goes out in the woods every fall looking for them but rarely gets one. Maybe he should tow a trailer somewhere. He might have better luck.

Congratulations on the new Sandpiper hope it performs up to your expectations.
I had a leak under the sink also. However it wasn't in the camper. We got home after the Holiday weekend and the wet bar leaked underneath. Darn near drowned the scotch. Last week we came home and a mouse ate the Granola bars while we were gone. Leak tightened mouse died. 4 more kills and we'll both be aces.
Good luck and welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard.

And all this time I thought turkeys were flightless.

Turkey Violation

Well I fixed the leak under the sink, fitting was just loose. I also had to add some support under my threshold of the door. If you stepped on it, it would bend. Cut some wood shims and put it under the threshold problem solved. Everything is great so far. Just have to get the dealer to align my bunk slide. When it is closed its not level. Once they have it strait the will also have to put some new decals on it since they wont line up when corrected.
