A pan might be good prevention but your biggest chance of a leak/flood using a washer in a RV is your grey tank filling up.

If this happens the water will overflow out of your lowest point which will most likely be your shower.

Best prevention is to keep an eye on levels or even better keep your grey water open when doing laundry.

Saw someone that flooded his RV last week; his wife started a load of laundry and didn't tell him, they went for a walk and when they came back water was coming out of the bottom of the fifth wheel......
