Sandpiper Exterior issues.

I have a 1999 38' Sandpiper Trailer. It is stored at Myrtle Beach, SC.

On my last trip, I noticed in the front bunk room, on the forward right wall, it was wet.

As I touched the wall, it was soft with quite a bit of water damage, so there was a definate leak there.

Any anyone experienced a similar problem?

Another problem I had was the fresh water was backflowing thru the pump, and filling up my fresh water tank , then overflowing. Any ideas for that?

Overall, I have been pleased with my Sandpiper's interior, but the exterior has been very poor quality.

I use a very mild cleaner, but the paint continues to come off on each cleaning. Some areas are down to the primer or even the metal.

This is camper #4 for me, and I've never seen this happen to this extent. I wonder what it would cost to get a camper this size repainted?

The interior looks brand new, but the exterior looks 20 years old already, even compared to other stored at the coast.

Thanks for any comments.

Hi and to FRF!

I don't have any answers to your particular question about the siding but possibly someone else here on the site can help you.

Why don't you start a thread in the welcome mat and tell us about yourself.

Pull up a chair and stay awhile.
