Sandpiper vs Sierra

I'm looking to buy a Sandpiper 371REBH and thought I'd compare prices with the Sierra 371REBH. When I talked to the Sierra salesmen, he insisted Sierra and Sandpiper are not the same. Besides the different color schemes, he said Sierra keeps you more cool in the summer and that it's resale value is higher than the Sandpiper.

Is there any possibility of truth to this, or is it just a sales pitch?

He compared it to GMC vs Chevy, and it is true that while a GMC Sierra is basically the same as a Chevy Silverado, I've heard that one (I forget which) has better resell value than the other.

Thoughts?

Could be 'sales speak' because they probably don't sell the Sandpiper line. Higher R values in the roof, walls, and floor would help to keep the Sierra cooler in the summer. Also the number and size of AC units. That's something you'd have to compare vs the Sandpiper.

My BIL had a Sandpiper 375QBQ, our friends Have a Sierra 375QBQ. The only differences are the decals, according to them. We have a Sierra 32qbbs, the only difference for us between that and Sandpiper was availability. I couldn't see a difference. I don't know about resale value since my BIL sold his and our friends have not.

The Sierras and Sandpipers are built on the same line, side by side. The only difference in the 2 are the nose caps and the decals, everything else is the same.

Exactly! It's just a sales pitch.

Sales pitch. The floor plans on some Sierra models are slightly different, but they are the same trailer other than color choices.
And for the record, GMC usually has the nicer trim, is a little more pricy, and for that reason can have a higher resale value.

We looked at the 360PDEK in both Sierra and Sandpiper. Only difference was color. We went with the Sierra because of the colors and the dealer met our price.

Dual Pane vs thermal

One thing I've noticed different in the options for these two is that the Sierra offers "dual pane," and the Sandpiper offers "thermal" windows. Are these two things different or is this also another case of two names for the same thing?
