Shower leak on new 376 BHOK

Ok, I've read about the shower leaking, but took a chance on my brand new 5th wheel. Alas, puddle of water outside the shower. Is there an engineering reason behind not caulking the entire shower? I don't get it?Click image for larger version

It's called "save a buck" engineering. Used commonely in the rv manufacturing process.
Had the same problem on our Lexi. Bought a tube of almond latex based bathroom caulk and re-did entire shower.
If you decide to go this route, very easy, but do not use any type of silicon, use a latex base caulk.

I had the same problem with my Sandpiper 30IOK. The shower track had alot of movement and didn't seem to be sealed very well. I used self tapping screws to secure the track down firmly to the shower and caulked around the track and shower. I also figured out that water was running down inside the shower track and leaking at the ends. I used some clear silicone to seal the ends of the track. So far it has held up and haven't had anymore issues. Hope this helps.
