The Goodyear G614 LT235/85R16G at 3750# of load capacity is a very good upgrade for your trailer’s GAWR ratings. However, it will be expensive when done correctly. The steel cased G614 has a single rim size requirement, 6.5”. Most tires have a rim range, the steel cased 16” tires do not. The new rims need to be certified for the 3750# load capacity and 110 psi rating. Steel valve stems are also required.
Here is a reference to a typical rim for those tires. I have zero affiliation with this rim maker, it’s just a reference. Many others are made by other manufacturers.

Will the larger tire fit into the wheelwell? Will the distance between tires on the axles be adequate?
I don't normally recommend LT tires to replace ST tires. However, most G614 tires have an RST on their sidewall indicating they were manufactured for "Regional Service Trailer" applications.
