And they had it for 2 MONTHS every time they had it!

Yea i added another battery disconnect to mine. The one in the compartment is only for the interter. You still have to disconnect the batteries at the batteries to kill all power going to the camper. The lp detector will drain the batteries if not.

Thanks for doing what you did brother! I too gave up that lifestyle. There are days I miss it but mostly I'm ok with moving on. I made it 7 years. They tell you it's tough in school but at that point you're young and think that it can't be THAT bad....

Here is the photo of my 2nd battery disconnect. This is the first one. The second disconnect does nothing but turn off dc to the inverter. This disconnect kills dc to the camper and the other disconnect. Less than 20 bucks on amazon and rated for 400 amps i believe.

Notice its only feeding a 100 amp fuse. So i have 300 amps left for the inverter.

My service tech also recommended a separate batt disconnect. If you don't have a problem on 15a shore power then ur probably wired differently. One things for sure, they all seem to have similar problems that need to be resolved.

Yep you have to have a 50 amp adapter made so the 15 amp supplys both hot legs of the camper. That way everything gets powered ip

A 15 to 50 amp?

Do u have a volt meter? In the adapter where your camper plugs in you should have two 120 volt lines to netural. In that adapter im not sure if you will read 240 across the hots because its a false 240. But as long as you have two 120 volts at the adapter the converter should be powered up.

Like I said, took easy way out, 1 extension cord to adapters to main plug, another to battery tender to batts. Alls well again.
