Electric switch is outside in water heater compartment. Hard to see normally black toggle switch which may have a safety pin thru it. We run ours strictly on hydro when available with no problems. Saves alot of propane. Just make sure it is switched off when not filled with water and connected to electricity as if it runs dry you will burn out electric heating element.

No need to let the water out. Best to leave it full other than when winterising
Enjoy

Definitely don't let all of the water out and then turn on the electric switch......you will immediately fry the element.
