What to look closely for?

Hello all. Wanted to know if there is anything I should pay extra attention to during my PDI? We are picking up our Sandpiper 378FB on 24 MAR and just wondered if anything needs a closer inspection. I haven't seen many reviews on this model. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions. Can't wait to pick it up and get through the shake down process.

Happy Camping!

Use a PDI checklist like the one dblr referred to. Anything not right do not sign anything or hand over any $. Have them fix it or you're at their mercy to get repairs made especially now that spring is almost here they will get very busy. Have them dewinterize the unit so you can check all the plumbing for any leaks and rewinterize it. Use your cell to record the winterization process. Good luck with your PDI and enjoy your Sandpiper!

Read the post by ependydad titled "the new 2016 prime time 1245 spartan" It is a great example of a complete PDI inspection.

We dealt with a dealer who went through the PDI and gave it to us unsigned and unfinished paperwork. They have spaces with hook-up for overnight. We took the PDI and twisted, turned, opened/closed everything, the next morning they fixed and answered all our questions then we signed the PDI paperwork. Sure is better than going back for some silly adjustments and more training.

Thanks everyone for your guidance. I hope all goes well and we can move on to enjoying the rv. We went back to the dealer today and I went through the unit looking at everything for fit and finish. All looked well, except for a couple of trim pieces that weren't properly secured. I hope all systems are good to go during the PDI.

Thanks again for the input.

Happy Camping!

Dave

Make sure to check screen doors our unit has 2 doors and i overlooked the main door they had installed a backdoor screen on the front door hence it has a huge gap and will no close. have already contacted dealer to have corrected. also if equipped with outdoor kitchen make sure you test the sink our cold water line was cut to short and caused the hose to kink therefore hardly any cold water coming out of the faucet.

Take a video of your walk through and photographs of everything you find that needs fixing.
