18 Sierra 379FLOK. Kitchen island vent smell. Question?

This is my first year with this unit and so far I absolutely love it.
EXCEPT the for the occasional stick out when in full hook up.
It took me a few trips to figure out that the smell was coming from the under cabinet vent in the island.

Has anyone had this issue and what’d you do to fix that crappy vent system.
For now, I taped off the vent and now no smells.

If you're referring to a trap or tank vent you could install an air admittance valve. Cheapos work but don't tend to last very long. Better quality ones are available from Oatey or Studor at your local Lowes for 20 to 30 bucks.
