2017 sierra 372lok cooling problems

I purchased a Serra 372lok last June and the a/c has never worked properly. Dealer has swapped out ac and also cut a bigger return in the ceiling. An example today it was85 outside and camper would only go to 78 with thermostat on 72. Bedroom air does fine. Anyone else having the same problem

Search the Sandpiper and Sierra boards. Common problem they won't fix. Lots of guys add a 3rd a/c. I will soon, I just haven't had time to do it.

Yes here. Use the search once you pull up the specific section. Start with these:
Ac not keeping up on 2017 381RBOK
381 RBOK, AC sucks.. Is this possible
A/C problems
Added 3rd A/C to 35ROK
2017 376 - BHOK A/C Issues
A/C cooling
Added 3rd A/C to 389rd

That should get you going. I just listed all the a/c threads that I'm subscribed to.

Brad is pretty much the pioneer and most of us followed his thread and process. It's in the links above but I want to point this one out specifically.

Most likely it is. I know of 3 or 4 different units it will have been done to including mine. I know based on Brad's description it will work on mine. I've looked mine over pretty good trying to figure out what the problem is.

There is definitely an issue with the whisper quiet units in the 2017 year model Sandpiper and Sierra trailers. The intake duct is too small for the A/C. The intake vents are perfectly fine, but the duct leading back to the center is sandwiched down to about a quarter inch. I had a Dometic refit kit installed. It doubled the air flow on my four living area vents. The kit includes adding a 3rd intake in the center of the ceiling directly beneath the A/C and adding a couple louvered A/C vents in the forward section of the trailer to control air flow.

It helped, but it didn't magically enable me to sit comfortably in 100 degree temps. I have the 371REBH and figure it has the most windows for the year model and greatest length putting the A/C's at a disadvantage compared to smaller floor plans. My temp. difference on a hot day is about 12 degrees. I'm certain that a lot of it has to do with the temperature of the roof and the fact that the A/C units are covered in a black casing.

Noise level increased, so it's now about 50% quieter than the Brisk II rather than 90 due to additional intake noise.

We camped in 97 deg weather and with kids goin in and out it wouldn't keep up, until i open the vent and had it blow out the unit. That and gone for a few hours it shut off for a little bit. Not ideal but works on our 372LOK.

I added a 3rd a/c to my 372LOK myself. We camped at the beach all summer and had no cooling problems. 72 inside during the was not a problem. VERY satisfied with the results i fought with Forrest river for 11 months just took matters into my own hands
