2017 sierra 378fb AC ISSUES
Our dometic AC zone 1 is reading inside temp. of 32 degrees so the unit will not stay on. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as it is very hot here in S.C.!

AC Issues
Do you have 2 AC units?? If so what is zone 2 temp reading??? Also check the inside temp when switched to cool and recheck it with it turned off, any change?? You can do a search for dometic ccc2 thermostat and instructions on resetting the thermostat.

Yes 2 units. Zone 2 temp reading inside fine. 76 degrees. Did change when unit off. We did a reset, then got a couple of E1 errors on both zones, unit shut down, then came back on and has been working fine for 8 hours. Go figure! This is a brand new RV so we will have service check it out with a few other things. Thanks for the response!

We've seen several posts lately of the exact same thing you described. Zone 1 reading 32º and Zone 2 reading fine.
Initializing the t-stat seemed to work, but we don't know for how long.
Zone 2 uses a remote thermistor and Zone 1 uses an internal thermistor and I think that's where the problem is.

AC Issues
You may want to do a search on the error code, I do believe it was a problem with condensation corroding one of the connections in the ac unit.

Been back and forth to camping world. Still no AC. Can someone please recommend a Forest River contact?

Tobi Conroy is the warranty person I worked with (tconroy@forestriverinc.com), she was very helpful.

Bypass the DR dealer and find a dometic authorised service center. That's what I did, 3 days it was replaced under warranty.

Follow up: This was posted in another post but wanted to let you all know the outcome. We purchased a 2017 378FB new from camping world. AC never worked. We took it back and forth 4 times, sometimes in the middle of camping. We were told each time that the problem was fixed. Finally contacted a local RV repairman who came to our house and fixed the problem. The wiring in the ceiling between unit 1 and 2 had to be replaced. Also the copper connections were corroded and appeared to be interior telephone quality. He replaced those too. Hope this helps! Ms Conroy at FR was also helpful to us.

Glad to hear you got it fixed, it's a shame that it took that many trips to get it fixed as the corrosion and cat 5 wire is a well known issue in some of these units.
