Any warranty left?

I bought a new used 2016 Sierra 388FLIK and over the weekend the roof leaked in the front all over the t.v. the dealer told use that all warranties are null and void since it is a used 2016 5th wheel. Would that be true,or are they just blowing smoke?

All advice points to no warranty....unless they bought an extended warranty as some of those are transferable.

FWIW. Someone knew this trailer would leak unless damage was done before/after purchase or it was repaired improperly or it's been in a dry climate since leak began or ever.

Factory warranties are not transferable.
Some of the appliances' separate warranties may be though.

But the dealer should bear some responsibility selling you a leaky trailer.

Implied warranty?

Your post doesn't mention date of purchase or in what state.

Some states impose implied (unwritten) warranties on purchased goods for a period of time. When I sold RVs in my early retirement years, many of our used RVs were sold "as is". But, per NY law, there was an implied warranty for the first 30 days. Some states do not allow products to be sold "as is".

I would suggest you contact the local Chamber of Commerce or an attorney for your applicable state laws. What I would not do is take no for an answer at this time. Best of luck getting your issue resolved.

You could always contact Forest River and see what they have to say? Maybe it was a known issue and there is a recall? Worth a try if the other suggestions don't work.

I would think that the front cap isn't sealed. Many of us had issues with front cap leaks. Mine was leaking at the front when it rained. The dealer sealed it with Dicor and problem was solved. This is a known issue with the Sierras. Look at some of the posts on this forum.

Cheers
