Chevy 3500 DW

I have the B&W companion and the plate is set as high as it can go but I dont have that much clearance between the camper and the bed. I have a 370RDOK. Any idea how to get more clearance

I've been looking into 5ers and been told that 6" is about normal clearance above the bedrails with most newer trucks and is sufficient.

You just have to keep an eye on it . Twice a year we camp in the backwoods off the beaten path and theres some pretty severe dips and I have not even come close to hitting.
