Forest river 1 year extended warranty

I signed for my new 2014 sierra 365saq yesterday with a may 1 delivery. I read somewhere (unless I was dreaming) that FR has a 1 year extended warrantee I can purchase for an additional $150 or $175. I forget the price but recall it was reasonable. Can someone point me to that thread (if it actually exists) or provide some info?

I just sent in the form and check for mine. Barely made it in the 10 day time limit. The dealer never said anything about it, but they did keep the order form with the other paperwork at the dealership. I had to call and get it from him. Its a great bargain in my opinion. That being said, they did give me a great deal and the customer service is fantasic. Frank at Bluegrass RV in Lexington Ky does a great job.

I called FR customer service direct. It was 6 mos. after I took delv. Told them my dealer never offered it to me and just found out about it. They took my Vin# and credit card # and emailed me the contract in 30 mins. They understand that all dealers do not tell you about it, they were very nice about the whole thing. I suggest you get it. Not all FR brands offer it. Do not know about yours, you can just call them and ask.......

I called Forest River yesterday and told them my dealer said nothing about the 1 year extended warranty. He emailed me a paper to fill out and send in. 250.00 for mine. Phone number for warranty is 574-573-1257

We will be picking up our 2015 Sierra 330RL this Wednesday and my dealer told me that they would include the form for the forest river second year extended warranty in my paper work and that they would even fill it out for me so that all I had to do was sign it and put the check with it and mail it out. So they were very helpful with me for the extend warranty. One other thing that I have found out that you need to ask them about any optional extended warranties that you might purchase is when does the optional extended warranty start. You want to be sure that it starts after your regular warranty stops. You do not want to run the warranties concurrent. So I will be prepared to ask that question before I agree to any other extended warranty.

Funny I found out about the extended one year warranty only 34 days after delivery. I called they said I was out of luck because I only had 30 days to take advantage of it.

Did you explain to them that your dealer did not inform you about the 2nd year FR warranty?

I've read here several times that FR has waived the 10 day limit when their dealer didn't tell them about the option.

When you say "they said I was out of luck" do you mean FR, or your dealer?

Wayne Bigler of the Sierra warranty division of Forest river told me I was out of luck. My dealer tried to sell me the 2000 dollar aftermarket warranty and failed to tell me about the 150.00 forest river warranty. But I will say forests river did pay for all parts needed to put bigger axles under my 365 saq and out of the year warranty 9 months. So it's not all bad.

My dealer did the same for me last year.

On the "Forest River Customer Delivery And Warranty Registration Form", which you and your dealer must complete together, toward the last of the sixty or so inspection check boxes is one is for Warranty Forms Completed and Reviewed (on my copy).

Be nice if that item listed the FR additional year warranty form. I'm sure customers check that box off not realizing some warranty options were not reviewed.

I remember my delivery day was a whirlwind of demonstrations, reviews, unfamiliar paper signing, oh my head hurt... I'm so glad I lucked into an outstanding Forest River dealer.

Instead of denying uninformed cutomers an additional year opportunity, I think it would be nice if FR let the offending dealer pick up the tab.
