Generator size?

What brand and size wattage you are using for your fifth wheel with dual ac units. I have a Honda 3000iu quite. Does great job only run one ac unit.

Generator

I would use a 5500 watt diesel that should be sufficient. Start the units one at a time.

Whatever you get, make sure it's an inverting type and NOT one of those open frame gennys commonly sold in home improvement stores. They are LOUD and will quickly get you really disliked by all your camping neighbors.

This question has to be answered first.

You can go a whole different route if you will never use it in a campground or someplace where noise would bother someone.

Honda EU200i, Only as a backup, we are setup full time and hardly ever use the A/C ( never with the generator). It more for the winter time camping when we really need the furnace.

I don't need generator while at the campgrounds I stay at they all have 50 amp hook up service... this is only out in the woods... the 3000 iu is doing great so far just run extremely hard with ac is running.... other than that it's fine would like to find one that will run both ac unit at the same time

If you plan to run two AC's and other things like microwave then you need at least 5500 watts your choice of fuel to run them.

I would think that the biggest problem with larger watt generators would be the size and weight and how to transport them... maybe if you have a toy hauler that would make it easier to heft them around... ortherwise you may opt for another 3500 watt unit and wire the second AC to a separate plug to extend to that generator or parallel two units

Thought about that but it's double the hassle and double the gas when you take both of them...

So harbor freight has a bigger on that you can go buy.. Descent price for a genny for the woods and no one around.. also you can buy one at Sam`s at a good price that uses propane or gas, I`m not sure on the size though.. good luck
